Customer Service Representative
CarrierStore is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) with excellent phone and computer skills to work as a point person for transactions on our online market exchange (the xCHANGE).
Job Details
Responsibilities
- Inside sales coordination/Inside sales administration
- Monitor and enter data into the xChange
- Train new customers on the xChange and answer questions from registered customers
- Work as a liaison between the customer and the carrier
- Confirm shipment pick up and delivery
- Track and trace freight
Skills and Requirements
- Minimum 2 years customer service, inside sales, or related experience
- Excellent computer skills
- Strong communication and phone skills
- The ability to multi-task
- Background in the freight industry is a plus
Salary commensurate with experience
Account Manager
The Account Manager's primary responsibility is the sale and marketing of an automated web-based freight-quoting tool within a defined sales territory.
Job Details
Target customers will consist of small and medium size businesses. Secondary responsibilities will include working with the Volume Service Group (VSG) to identify and secure multiple repeat transportation opportunities.
As a member of our Sales Team this individual will work with leadership to help define priorities and performance requirements to meet the Company's overall business goals and objectives.
Specific Duties:
- Sales and marketing of web based freight-quoting tool (prospecting new business and maintenance of existing accounts)
- Sales and marketing of VSG customers
- Forecast - develop and implement programs and initiatives to meet forecasts
- Provide market feedback
- Provide competitive information
- Required to make a minimum of 10 in person customer visits per day
Account Managers must be:
- Innovative, creative and resourceful, that is, not locked into old or current methods of identifying and solving problems.
- Self-starter, hard charging, highly motivated
- Capable of multi-tasking

- Disciplined in achieving goals and objectives
- An excellent communicator, both orally and verbally

Background and Experience Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree preferred in Sales, Marketing, Business Management or Logistics
- Minimum of 3-5 years transportation experience including field sales
- Sales experience demonstrating territory growth and applicable responsibility
- Demonstrated experience in all phases of the sales cycle from planning through close and retention
- Ability to communicate and present at all levels of customer's organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Web
